What you would do as Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work both independently and collaboratively across multiple projects, taking responsibility for mechanical design from concept through implementation. Your role includes the development of innovative product concepts, project execution, and providing engineering support for both existing series production and new product development initiatives.
In addition to your engineering responsibilities, you will leverage your seniority and technical expertise to support other teams and projects across the organization. Acting as a Technical Lead, you will serve as the central point of coordination and technical guidance, connecting stakeholders and ensuring alignment across multiple concepts, VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), and product development projects. You will play a key role as the "spider in the web," facilitating collaboration, driving technical decision-making, and helping projects progress efficiently from idea to realization.
For this position, we are looking for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for developing concepts that integrate mechanics, electronics, firmware/software, and market requirements into a cohesive solution.
Responsibilities:
- Support projects from initial client contact to product delivery, including product (conceptual) development and design, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup and process development.
- Support both production and customers by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving product and manufacturing process issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions.
- Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to the development process, quality, efficiency, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Support the commercial department.
The skills and experience you need
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong skills in concept and system thinking
- Extensive experience in product development and design, preferably using SolidWorks
- Proven experience in supporting products in production, including troubleshooting and resolving product and manufacturing issues
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Familiarity with fine mechanical systems, generators, and electric motors is a plus
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills with a natural talent to influence at various levels of the organisation
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Must have own transportation within a reachable distance from Tilburg
You are a talented individual with an analytical and conceptual mindset. We’re looking for evidence that you are a result-oriented, problem solver by heart that sees solutions instead of problems, whilst a clear customer focus is essential in order to succeed.
Excellent team working skills are vital and you should enjoy collaborating with others - being prepared to both help and ask for help when needed.

- Opportunity to work on highly technical, innovative, and environmentally friendly products for prestigious clients.
- Autonomous role with diverse tasks and responsibilities within a pleasant company culture.
